Health Center Program National-Level Grantee Data from UDS

See the 2017 Health Center Program national-level grantee data from the Uniform Data System (UDS). HRSA-funded health centers served more than 27 million people – 1 in 12 nationwide – in 2017, and nearly all health centers demonstrated improvement on one or more clinical quality measures. Other data highlights include:
  • Nearly 90% of health centers provided mental health services, to more than 2 million patients;
  • Nearly 65,000 health center patients received medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services—a 75% increase over the previous year;
  • 67% of diabetic health center patients controlled their blood sugar level (HbA1c ˂ 9%), exceeding the national average of 57%;[i] and
  • 63% of hypertensive health center patients controlled their blood pressure, exceeding the national average of 57%.[ii]
