Sickle Cell Centers are nonprofit organizations supported by state funds and private donations establsihed to provide services related to sickle cell anemia in Alabama. Centers offer community screening programs, genetic counseling, education, tutorial programs for children with sickle cell anemia, outpatient medical care, social services, and nutritional counseling. APHCA represents the Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery and the Southeast Alabama Sickle Cell Association.
