Leadership APHCA

Loading...

The leadership of Alabama’s C/MHC provides the framework for planning, coordinating, providing and improving care and services to meet the needs of its community and patients. Leaders establish the organizational culture, provide the foundation for effective performance and set overall expectations for performance improvement. APHCA has a variety of leadership development programs available through T/TA.

In addition to traditional leadership and team development T/TA, APHCA has developed a comprehensive leadership certification program for its C/MHC’s CEOs, board members, and senior management staff. Leadership APHCA is an interactive leadership development model designed to equip Alabama’s C/MHC leaders with sharpened skills to move their organizations forward. The twelve month certification program consists of a one day program introduction and overview followed by four one day workshops that focus on organizational communication and trust, organizational clarity, managing performance, conflict resolution, high performance team development and Joint Commission’s Leadership Standard Accreditation. Throughout the program, participants will engage in learning assessments of their own leadership and management behavior, perform specific assignments with their own respective teams, read and discuss three best selling leadership books, and keep a leadership journal to outline their individual and team action steps and document progress made.
