Health center boards of directors are faced with providing leadership and guidance in a rapidly changing regulatory and care environment. This session for board members and leadership teams will enhance knowledge and understanding on transformation necessary to position their organizations for value-based and alternative payment methodologies. Governance responsibilities in planning and leading capacity development for resources, infrastructure, policies, and operations support to deliver necessary value-based care and assessing priorities based on community needs; and monitoring and evaluation of value-based performance relating to clinical quality, patient satisfaction, community health, and cost of care with benchmark comparisons at monthly board meetings; and emerging issues and relevant information on managed care to improve health outcomes. Exploring partnerships and other contractual agreements facilitate resource (both investment and payment) allocation across the organization that serves or support patients.
