LIVE VIRTUAL TRAINING
Presenter: Connect Consulting Services
Violent acts are on the rise around the world and healthcare providers are not immune to this phenomenon. This 1 1/2-hour session will focus on how Health Centers can prepare for and respond to acts of violence, including active shooters and other active threats and how to integrate response efforts with local Fire Departments, Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Services. There will also be an overview of a behavioral threat assessment model that can aide in the development of an effective, comprehensive approach in how to identify warning signs of inappropriate behavior, and when and how to intervene prior to someone engaging in violent activity against themselves or others.
