DESCRIPTION:Venue: APHCA Training Center \nPresenter: TBD \nAudience: Emergency Preparedness\, Risk Management Staff \nDescription: The response to the COVID-19 pandemic taught HCs how to be more than resilient and operate successfully under a national public health emergency. Come join APHCA for a session that will give HCs an opportunity to gain the knowledge\, resources\, and relationships necessary to prepare for\, and respond to potential future public health emergencies. This year we will have a dynamic 2-hour Active Shooter training with Senior Special Agent Steve Johnson from ALEA who will be presenting the Alabama Run! Hide! Fight! Active Shooter Training Program. The presentation will include training utilized by the FBI\, FEMA and other government agencies who teach the three tactics you can use to keep yourself and others safe during an active shooter attack—run\, hide\, and fight. Learning these principles now will prepare and empower HC participants to put them into practice should the unthinkable occur.
