HIV Clinician Training Lunch-and-Learn Series: Clinical Considerations in HIV Prevention Care

Audience: This training is ideal for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other clinical staff involved in primary care, infectious disease, or sexual health services. 

Description: Explore important clinical factors involved in delivering comprehensive HIV prevention care, such as laboratory testing, follow-up schedules, STI co-management, and addressing adherence challenges. Special considerations for all populations, including those with co-occurring health conditions, will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Effectively and sensitively take a sexual history to assess HIV risk.
  • Confidently initiate and manage PrEP therapy in clinical settings.
  • Integrate HIV prevention into routine care with evidence-based approaches tailored to patient needs.
