Risk University

Description: Risk University is a three-part training series over the next year that equips HCs with the necessary skills to integrate compliance into their organization’s strategic initiatives. This course provides an overview of how to assess the organization’s culture, break down silos, and identify compliance partners. Attendees will learn how to identify their organization’s risk areas using multiple resources and safeguard against those risks. They will also learn how to conduct a high-level compliance risk assessment to establish priorities and understand the value of training an entire work unit versus classes of individuals. Attendees will learn how to develop a collaborative approach to risk management from the top down and the bottom up. They will learn tips for explaining complicated rules and legal hierarchy to compliance and medical professionals. In addition, the training will also provide HCs with an example of a year one compliance plan and teach them how culture and leadership can motivate employees to want to be a part of compliance. In addition, HCs will learn the best practices for ensuring effective compliance and monitoring of cyber risks. They will learn how to continuously monitor and reassess their risk by focusing their audit efforts in the right areas. The series will also cover the importance of integrating policy, tools, and training and how they can contribute to improving compliance.
